Anunta, in collaboration with its partners Microsoft and Accops, aimed to enhance its Service Line (ATMSL) infrastructure by migrating from Citrix XenServer to Microsoft Hyper-V and from Citrix DaaS/CVAD to Accops. The primary goals were to optimize performance, reduce costs, and streamline Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) management. Anunta’s strategic approach solution delivered a robust, cost-effective and quick upgrade to their VDI environment, setting the stage for future scalability and operational efficiency.
Anunta needed to migrate platform from one OEM to other to match their best usage model and solution. Ensuring the compatibility of Windows, Linux, Ubuntu and CentOS server with the new Hyper-V environment. Consolidating VDI access through a single URL for both internal and external users to avoid the complexity of maintaining multiple URLs.
Anunta converted/ migrated (as is) 100% of Non-VDI VMs from Citrix hypervisor to Microsoft Hyper-V and few cases completed the migration by parallel building servers and replicating the configuration to newly built server/s.
We built parallel VDI infrastructure for the VDI workload and enabled VDI access for users and conducted User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Upon validation and UAT completion done the cutover from Citrix VDI to Accops VDI. And further consolidated VDI access into a single URL for simplicity and confirmed no business impact.
