Cloud Adoption

A successful Proof of Concept (POC) for VDI or DaaS is only the beginning in the journey to move to End User Computing (EUC) on the cloud. Enterprises very often fail to move beyond the POC to achieve the targeted scale of cloud adoption. This happens due to several reasons including inability to implement different use cases, inability to deliver a smooth, trouble free transition experience to end users or not providing high quality end user experience.

Since inception, Anunta has successfully enabled enterprises to adopt desktop virtualization technologies, both on private and public clouds, at scale and has a proven track record in engineering user-centric virtualized infrastructures that deliver to business needs.

Challenges in Cloud Adoption

  • Securing end user data, applications privacy and adherence to security compliance.
  • Inappropriate designing and sizing of VDI network thereby impacting computing resources (e.g., networks, servers, storage, applications, and services).
  • Managing complex integration of applications that need to connect to a large cloud network.
  • Ensuring round the clock availability of cloud network for enhanced performance.

Benefits of Cloud Adoption service:

  • End-to-end management of complete workload transfer from existing infrastructure to the cloud.
  • Smooth upscaling from the initial POC stage to migration of all users across all geographic locations.
  • Assistance with realizing the complete benefit of moving to the cloud.

Case in point

One of India’s largest insurance companies wanted a partner who could help them adopt desktop virtualization to transform its legacy End User Computing (EUC) environment, characterized by inconsistent application performance due to a distributed IT infrastructure and bandwidth constraints leading to poor end-user satisfaction and productivity.

Anunta was commissioned to run a conditional pilot (for 100 users) for selected high-revenue branches which were facing trouble during high transaction intensity periods. The outcome achieved at the pilot stage led the insurance company decide on rolling-out VMware Horizon Cloud across all its 209 branches and 6000 users in the next two years.

Anunta, with years of experience in seamlessly managing scale of cloud adoption for desktop virtualization, undertook end to end ownership of the EUC transformation, including design (user environment assessment, user-profiling) workload configuration, applications and peripherals integration and migration. Anunta not only stabilized the environment but helped the company achieve a steady state operation.
